Using Proforma and Public Customer Portal

Problem

When using Proforma Forms on public portal, the request get created and Proforma Form is left empty

Solution

If you are using Tinker for JSD v1.3.5 and before, please upgrade to version 1.3.6 and above

  1. Select the Jira icon > Jira settings > Apps or Add ons.

  2. Under Tinker for JSD, click Public Customer Portal

  3. Go to Request Creation Behavior

  4. Make sure you are using either of

    • Creator & Reporter = PUBLIC_USER

    • Creator & Participant = PUBLIC_USER | Reporter = EMAIL_ADDRESS | use for Proforma


Unfortunately there’s a restriction from Proforma that only allows request creator to fill the form, so if you were using  Creator & Reporter = EMAIL_ADDRESS setting. Profroma will not allow you to append the form since the public user on portal is not the request creator (owner)

When using

Creator & Participant = PUBLIC_USER | Reporter = EMAIL_ADDRESS | use for Proforma

The known email, “Just Confirming we got your request, we are on it” will not be sent to the email used to submit the request. We will solve this issue in an upcoming release.

However the user will receive all other updates
