Bulk Update User Avatars

Use this section to search for specific users and perform bulk actions to update their avatars. This is especially useful if you wish to apply the new default avatar color or style to existing users.
Instructions
Select the ⚙ ( Jira settings ) > Manage Apps or Add ons.
Under Avatari section click Avatar Initials Generator
Under Bulk Update User Avatars , search for the users needed to change their avatars
Searching criteria
Filter users | Search string will find all the users with a matching: display name, username or email |
|---|---|
User Groups | Find users that are at any of the provided groups |
Application Access | Search for users based on their application access level |
User Status | Filter users based on active state, active or inactive |
Avatar Status 🧪 EXPERIMENTAL | Search for users with the default avatar  Jira DC Default avatar |
Users Per Page | 10 , 20 , 50 or 100 |
Each bulk update can update the avatars for up to 100 users.
Admin may select multiple avatars from the list and based on the default color selected an Avatar Preview will show
Click Bulk update selected avatars
Wait for the load to complete
If a random avatar is generated, Avatari would not regenerate again if the “Default Avatar Background Color” is set on random.
When applying Avatar Status: users with default avatar the newly generated avatars would descope them from the search, so you might not find them in the table after the successful update
